Non Skid Socks for Crawling Babies

Your baby's first steps are an exciting moment, one you will remember for years. Of course, your baby's first steps will usually be immediately followed by baby's first fall. That is all part of how kids learn. They try, they fail, and they try again. But you can give your baby better traction and a fighting chance at staying upright with a pair of baby sized non skid socks. These socks have grippers on the bottom that solve the age old problem of the slippery sock on the hardwood floor. Think of all the falling and crying a few pairs of non skid socks could save you and your baby. If you have not gotten to that stage, don't worry, it is coming.
Non skid socks are great for crawling babies too because the socks are made from a soft yet stretchable material that stays on baby's feet a lot better than traditional socks do. If you have spent a lot of time crawling around after your child hunting for lost socks, then you already know how useful this could be. Keeping their socks on is also good for babies so that their feet stay warm and protected. Most of our body heat dissipates through our extremities, so it is important to keep your child's feet covered up, especially when winter rolls around.
Unlike the rest of us who usually wear shoes with our socks, babies spend a lot of time going with just socks alone. This means that the socks have to do double duty without a shoe there to hold them on and protect the foot. That is why I really like the non skid socks that my wife picked out for our second child who is crawling like crazy. In fact, these non skid socks are now the only kind we will buy. We both spent more than enough time picking up socks that our first child jettisoned, so for number two we are enjoying one less thing to worry about. Because with kids, there is always plenty to worry about!
The non skid socks are great at staying put while crawling, but I really looking forward to seeing how well child number two does in them when she gets ready to do some walking. I am hoping for a few fewer spills than her brother managed. Talk about a situation that keeps a parent on edge: waiting all the time to see how your child will manage to put themselves in danger. Crawling is bad enough, but walking puts your baby's head another foot higher and makes the crashes that much worse. Every parent knows that mix of excitement and fear when your little darling starts to motor around on their own two feet. It is exciting and it will help keep you in shape playing catch up and pick up. I even tried to get a pair of non skid socks for my older kid but he was disappointed that they ruined his hallway sliding game. And they were not sticky enough to let him climb the walls.
