Any sock that contains at least 60% Merino Wool. Merino wool will keep your feet warm even after being soaked from slipping off that log as you try to cross that river. It`ll also wick sweat away from your feet keeping them dry and preventing blisters. The also do not smell, so you can wear the same pair for a few days on the trail with no problem, unlike a synthetic sock that will reek after a day or 2. They also last an extremely long time.

You`re going to look online and be like wow these are expensive. Well Costco and Sam’s Club carries Kirkland socks that are 72% Merino wool, they come in a 3 pack for $10. If you closed your eyes and held that sock with a pair of $20 Merino wool socks from REI or EMS you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, in fact I`ve seen 30%-50% Merino wool socks for 15-20 bucks, and that’s for a single pair. In costco you get 3 pairs for $10. I`ve had them for over a year now and they still are like new, probably one of my best investments last year.
