Some people I see at basketball camps and other places wear two socks on each foot, why is this? Is it just because it looks cool, or is there a real reason?
well theres lots of reasons ppl do that:
1.)their feet sweat
2.)so they wont get blisters
3.)for cushioning
4.)look cool

It is much more comfortable

The socks rub against each other, and that way the skin on your feet won’t get as raw or blistered. It works for rollerblading/skating too. I do this all the time, especially when my basketball shoes get kind of old and loose. It’s cheaper than buying a new pair.

why dont you try it then explain why you like it…

i do it because i’ve sprained my ankles many times so wearing two pairs of socks makes my ankles more sturdy. it’s almost like wearing ankle braces.

Maybe the gym is cold?!? Nah, but really it helps for cushioning. Some shoes I have rub like crazy when I wear low cut or old and worn socks. So I double up to avoid blisters on my heels or outer ankle. I’ve learned the hard way having had crazy and painful blisters on my feet from 6+ hours of b-ball.
